Spooky Nook Sports Introduces Nook Rx'd

Published
03/2/2020

In January 2020, Nook Rx’d was added to the Spooky Nook Sports facility. Nook Rx’d is a community driven by the desire to better themselves through functional fitness, perseverance and strength. The goal of Nook Rx’d is to provide a fun atmosphere for athletes to push each other to be the best versions of themselves.

Nook Rx’d opened at Spooky Nook Sports to provide a place for individuals to further develop their fitness. Nook Rx’d utilizes Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting movements, gymnastic and body building movements, and classic monostructural exercises (running, rowing, etc.). Our certified trainers will help provide fun programs that help individuals live healthier lives.

One of the most notable aspects of Nook Rx’d is that our trainers have vast experiences with fitness. Our three Nook Rx’d trainers have a combined total of 15 years of experience in the coaching and fitness field. The Nook Rx'd trainers provide programming that is comprehensive and geared towards providing athletes of all ages to get healthier, with less risk of injury. Currently, our three trainers at Nook Rx’d are Chris Hiester, Erika Ardillo, and Kyle McMinn.

Spooky Nook Sports Personal Trainer Coordinator, Chris Hiester is a CrossFit L1 Trainer, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting Trainer, and a CrossFit Kids Trainer. Chris stated that his training philosophy is to “move well, live well – the whole idea of exercise is to increase longevity, and to ensure a higher quality of life. Maintaining good health is about more than exercise. What we eat matters. Sleep matters. Learning how to better manage the stress of daily life matters. Simply being active matters.” Spooky Nook Sports Performance Director, Kyle McMinn stated that the main goal of each trainer at Nook Rx'd is to “provide each client with an incredible training experience through the most evidence based strength and conditioning strategies in an environment of cooperation and cultivation.” Nook Rxd CTA

Nook Rx’d trainer, Erika Aridillo is a CrossFit L1 Trainer, NCCPT, and ACE trainer. Her training philosophy is that “There are 168 hours in a week. Most people can offer 5-7 hours of their week to exercise. Helping those people move properly, gain knowledge, strength and confidence is an important responsibility. Coaching is more than just starting the clock or reading the whiteboard; it's living up to the trust people have in you to teach them, hold them accountable, believe in and encourage them, set and help them achieve their goals. Every single day.”

At Nook Rx'd, we want to change the way people view the methodology of fitness. We want athletes to see that our primary goal is to help individuals live better lives, while creating a community of people who have a positive impact on each other.
