I believe in teaching everyone about the importance of nutrition and exercise to help maintain a healthy lifestyle, as well as reaffirming their confidence that anything is possible. Credentials: I am a certified personal trainer that specializes in training women. I developed and oversee the StrongHER Training Program at the Nook focusing on women’s strength needs and skills in a small group setting. Additionally, I am a certified in Les Mills Bodypump, Bodyflow, and (my favorite) Grit instructor. I am also a NETA certified Barre instructor. I have been a certified trainer or instructor for nearly 18 years and absolutely love sharing that with everyone I am fortunate to meet. Philosophy: Health and wellness have been a central part of my life since childhood. I was an avid athlete, playing field hockey through college and abroad. After becoming a mother and leaving a teaching career, I needed something to balance out a busy life with my husband and our 6 kids. I took my love of fitness and nutrition to task becoming a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

Credentials: Personal Trainer with a USA Power Lifting Coaching Education certification.Philosophy: I take an approach in specializing as a bridge to those returning to action from physical therapy and in creating optimal performance training. I pride myself in taking time to teach those of all levels proper, basic movements that will create ideal results while maintaining safety. I have been working out for a total of 8 years with various philosophies; ranging from weight-loss, aesthetics, strongman and powerlifting. Currently, I have competed in, and won, 1 Strongman and 3 Powerlifting competitions. Of the 3 Powerlifting competitions, 1 was the State Championships where I won the deadlifting title and an outright win in my weight class. The second event I also won my weight class, and the third (by invitation) was Bench Nationals.
