Spooky Nook Sports offers special programming for adults 50+. These activities will inspire healthy lifestyles, friendships, and new experiences. Our programs promote physical and social well-being for older adults in a safe and fun environment.  In addition to these programs, our membership offers the following group exercise classes specifically catered to older adults:

BOOM (45 minutes) is a revolutionary new fitness series for baby boomers and active older adults. Whether you are just beginning your fitness journey or looking to take your fitness to the next level, BOOM is right for you. The class consists of two parts: Move It: Move through the decades in this energizing cardio workout. Learn moves from every era – the 60′s Twist, 70′s Disco, 80s Electric Slide, and 90s Vogue. Muscle Up: Up your game in the action-based functional strength training portion. It will ignite your fitness with a series of movement and exercises inspired by your favorite outdoor sporting activities.

Silver Sneakers/Senior Fitness (45 min.) Formerly called Senior Fitness, this class is a fun, low-impact workout combining cardiovascular and strength conditioning. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and other types of equipment are used.  Chairs will also be incorporated for seated and/or standing support. Make friends while getting a great workout. Beginners are welcome!

Silver Sneakers Yoga (45 min.) Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.  Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness levels.

Senior Activity Days

Spooky Nook Sports now offers special programming for adults that are 50+.  This event is as much about socialization as it is exercise.  So join us for coffee and get in a workout while meeting new people.

  • Indoor walking (200 meter track)
  • Pickleball
  • Bocce ball
  • Basketball
  • Group exercise (9:15am Silver Sneakers – Green Studio)
  • Complementary coffee


Every Monday from 9:00am – 12:00pm

Senior Action Time

This organized group activity is led by Tammy Peifer, who is certified in Jazzercise, Bodypump, Bodyjam, Bodyvive, Piyo, Boom, Silver sneakers Classic/Circuit/Cardio/Yoga & more!  Possible activities may include:

  • Line Dancing
  • Bingo
  • Pickle ball
  • Games/Crafts/Hobbies
  • Cards
  • Art
  • Group Exercise

Train for the Senior Games

Get fit and perfect your skills for the Senior Games. Join us for training every Wednesday, April 5-26 from 9am-12pm for training in:

  • Bocce ball
  • Pickleball
  • Basketball Hot Shot
  • 3 Point Shooting
  • Free Throw
  • Football Throw
  • Softball Throw
  • Frisbee Throw

$15 for members, $20 for non-members for one month or $5 per day.

Healthways SilverSneakers

If you’re a group retiree, or part of a Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement Health plan, you may have a SilverSneakers membership. This active adult wellness program is offered to many Medicare plans across the nation.
