Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill project in Hamilton, Ohio. Project update for March 2020.

Bids:

• Bids were received on February 28th for 18 individual bid categories.
• The bids are being analyzed and conferences with contractors are being held to review their proposals.

Construction:

• Contractors for the earthwork, retaining walls, concrete foundations, and underground utilities, are all preparing to mobilize and start work on site.
• Work has begun to remove portions of the existing concrete floor slabs to accept the new concrete foundations for structural steel buildings.
• The foundation contractor will arrive on site on Monday, March 9th to begin fabricating the first of 300 tons of reinforcing steel that will go into over 6,000 cubic yards of foundation concrete. 

Upcoming:

• As soon as the concrete foundations have reached their design strength, the steel erector will start standing up the steel for our new buildings.

Worthy Notes:

• Both the reinforcing steel and the concrete will be coming from companies in Hamilton.
• The Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill Complex will have 637,824 square feet under our various roofs. That’s equal to 11 football fields!
