All Spooky Nook Camp Champ programs will operate according to guidance issued by the Department of Health. This includes implementing social distancing protocols throughout our camps:
Check-in procedures: During check-in, we will take the temperature of each camper using a contact-free thermometer. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will not be permitted without a document confirming a negative test result within 72 hours. We will also ask each caregiver questions about your child's health and assess any signs of illness.
Social distancing: Campers are encouraged to stay at least six feet apart from one another whenever possible. To promote social distancing, we will implement increased spacing and small groups, and stagger the check-in and drop-off schedule. Groups sizes and group mixing will be kept to a minimum, while still maintaining a safe staff-to-camper ratio.
Disinfecting: All frequently touched surfaces and shared items are cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals throughout the day, and EPA-certified cleaning stations are at each camp.
Masks: While campers are not required to wear a mask, the CDC recommends everyone cover their faces whenever possible. Spooky Nook staff members will wear masks, barring medical or otherwise unsafe conditions.
Yes, we received many request from parents who need to work and their schools are now doing the hybrid 2-day per week model or totally virtual. Many parents feel overwhelmed with trying to find a solution where their kids can still get their school work done in a safe environment while they are working.
