If you’re up for a challenge – and a breathtakingly good time, the Nook Sports Adventure programs are ready to deliver, with enough adrenaline-pumping excitement to make it a memorable experience for the whole family. Take your pick from the family oriented “Clip ‘N Climb”, the expansive professional grade walls or take on our obstacle course to see if you have what it takes to overcome the challenges we have set before you!
RULES & REGULATIONS
- All children under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian. Click here for the waiver.
- Anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- CLIMBING WALL ONLY: In order to utilize the climbing ropes you must either: 1) Take a scheduled Intro Lesson or 2) Test out of the lesson showing proper climber and belayer skills.
- CLIMBING WALL ONLY: Proper equipment can be rented at our climbing wall area (highlighted below)
Bouldering Staff Sessions
A great way to meet new climbers and staff members, Nook Bouldering Staff Sessions begin with a 30 minute technical skills clinic. After the first 30 minutes, staff will boulder with and advise climbers on their progress. This is a perfect time to climb with staff and ask questions.
Ages: All ages
Dates: June 3 – August 12 (1st and 3rd Monday of every month)
Time: 7:00pm – 8:00pm
Fees: Included for all day pass climbers and members at no extra cost
Just for college students, every Friday Nook Sports will offer fifty percent off day pass rates and equipment rentals. Guests must present a valid college ID to be eligible.

Family Climbing Days
Nook Family Climbing Days offer fifty percent off your child’s day pass with the purchase of one full price adult day pass. Get on some ropes, boulder around or combine the two for a fun-filled day of climbing. This is the perfect opportunity to share your passion for climbing with your kids. Children 5 years and younger climb for free.

40+ Climbing Days
Nook 40+ Climbing Days offer climbers over forty the chance to climb at a discount. Come in after 6:00pm until close for half price day passes and rentals. Valid IDs are required.
Dates: June 4 – August 13 (2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month)
Time: 6:00pm – 10:30pm
Adult Learn to Lead Clinic
This three night clinic will cover lead climbing and lead belaying. Participants will learn about different lead climbing techniques, types of lead climbing gear and correct gear placement. At the end of this course climbers will participate in an outdoor climbing adventure! Climbing experience is required (must be able to climb 5.9 cleanly on top rope.)
Clinic Length: 3 days
Dates: Clinic 1: August 5, August 7 and August 9
Clinic 2: August 12, August 14 and August 16
Time: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Fees: $300.00 per clinic per person
$500.00 for both clinics
Nook Belay Certification
The Nook Belay Certification Class is a great way to learn how to belay. This class will cover the basics of the gear you will need as well as the best techniques to get you up the wall.
Nook Lead Climbing Certification
For those who have been climbing on rope and want to experience the sharp end, this class is for you! The class will cover the do’s and don’ts of lead climbing, technique, rope management as a climber, belay technique and rope management as a belayer. Equipment rentals, a day pass and instruction are included.
Dates: August 26 and 28; September 23 and 25

7:00pm – 8:00pm
Member Fee: $70.00 (minimum of 3 people per class)
Non-member Fee: $84.00
Nook Intro to Bouldering
This class is for those who are new to the bouldering world and seeking to learn. Participants will leave the rope behind and experience a route condensed into 15 difficult feet of climbing. Equipment rentals, a day pass and instruction are included.
Nook Top Rope Tech
This class is for those who have been through our top rope class and are now working to take their climbing skills to the next level. The class will cover more advanced climbing movement, technique and skills including heel hooks, toe hooks, rest positions, lock offs, smearing and more. Equipment rentals, a day pass and instruction are included. This class is intended for climbers 5.8 – 5.10.
