Clip n' Climb Rules and Regulations

  • Participants must check in at front desk before participating in any climbing activity
  • Climbing is inherently dangerous! Participants must assume all risks associated with climbing
  • Every participant, parent/guardian, or individual operating climbing safety systems, must complete the Nook climbing waiver
  • No children under the age of 13 are allowed in the Clip N' Climb area without adult supervision
  • Participants and guardians supervising children must receive a Clip N' Climb safety and Auto Belay Orientation from a Nook climbing instructor before participating
  • Participants must be a minimum of 30lbs and no greater than 330lbs for safety systems to function properly
  • Participants must be at least 4ft. in height to do the Leap of Faith obstacle
  • Participants must be clipped in by a Nook Climbing Instructor for the Leap of Faith and Stairway to Heaven obstacles
  • Never stand in the landing zone (colored pad at base of wall) while a climber is on the wall
  • No running or horseplay allowed
  • No food, beverages or gum permitted inside the Clip N’ Climb area
  • Clean, closed toed shoes must be worn at all times
  • Climbing gear must remain in the Clip N' Climb area at all times
  • Nook Staff has the right to revoke climbing privileges from any participant that creates an unsafe environment for themselves or others

 

Climbing Rules and Regulations

  • Participants must check in at front desk before participating in any climbing activity

  • Climbing is inherently dangerous! Participants must assume all risks associated with climbing

  • Every participant, parent/guardian, or individual operating climbing safety systems, must complete the Nook climbing waiver

  • No children under the age of 13 are allowed in the climbing area without adult supervision

  • Participants who desire to top rope, lead belay or lead climb must complete the appropriate belay safety check, and demonstrate the appropriate skills for each discipline to a Nook Climbing Instructor before partaking in any of these activities

  • Top rope belayers must be a minimum of 12 years old

  • Anyone utilizing an auto belay system must receive an auto belay orientation by a Nook climbing instructor

  • Bouldering (un-roped climbing) is only permitted in the designated bouldering area, or no higher than the first bolt (or no greater than 10 ft. in height) in areas designated for roped climbing

  • Participants must receive a bouldering orientation, and review the bouldering rules and safety guidelines with a Nook climbing instructor before participating in any bouldering

  • Always double check your safety systems (knots, harnesses, carabiners, belay devices, auto belay set up, etc.) before beginning to climb

  • All personal climbing gear must be inspected by a Nook Climbing Instructor and meet UIAA or CE standards before use in our climbing facilities

  • No running, jumping off the boulder, spins, flips, or horseplay allowed in the climbing gym

  • No barefoot climbing allowed

  • Climbing with headphones or ear buds is prohibited

  • Nook Staff has the right to revoke climbing privileges from any participant that creates an unsafe environment for themselves or others
